Transport Enterprise Leasing began its life in the truck industry selling used trucks and trailers and remarketing used trucks for carriers. Today, TEL conducts its wholesale and remarketing activities under its subsidiary, Lookout Valley Equipment Sales, and all leasing and off-lease sales under Transport Enterprise Leasing. Although the wheels of our business started rolling in late 2004, TEL did not develop its Lease Purchase division until 2011. As we developed programs for leasing used equipment to fleets and owner-operators who wanted to start their own businesses supported under a carrier umbrella, our lease purchase concept started to grow and was well received in the driver community.

Between 2011 and 2013, as we began to establish TEL as one of the premier commercial truck and trailer equipment providers, our focus shifted from used equipment to new equipment. In late 2013, we purchased 20 new trucks to introduce into the Lease Purchase division. By providing owner-operators with state-of-the-art, reliable trucks with extended manufacturer warranties, we’ve enabled TEL’s Lease Purchase participants the highest opportunity to succeed while keeping costs down for routine maintenance and in turn providing participating carriers a reliable source of capacity with turnover rates well below industry averages. These same new truck benefits have carried over to fleet leasing as well.

From 2006, when we only had three employees, to today, our business has continued to grow. TEL currently employs a supporting a staff of more than 50 and holds over 6,000 pieces of equipment in our portfolios, averaging over 5,000 wholesale transactions annually.
