Martha Jefferson, Director – Advising

Martha Jefferson joined Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC in February of 2015. She is the Director of Advising for the independent contractors and carriers. The Advising department assists in three critical areas of coaching successful businesses: startup counseling, maintenance advising, and lease advising.

Martha spent 15 years in business management before starting her career in transportation in 2000 as a company driver. In 2004, she put her management skills to good use by opening her own small business in transportation. While running her business under her own authority, she learned firsthand the mechanics of being a successful owner-operator. Starting in 2012, she had the opportunity to work with student drivers at a Roadmaster Drivers School in Chattanooga, TN as the school director. The administration side of driver education was demanding, but she always took every chance to teach—whether in the classroom, a driver skills course, or on the road. She continues to enjoy sharing her experiences and the tools required to be a successful operator in the transportation industry.

Martha studied business management and legal assistance at Cleveland State. She holds a Master Trainer Certificate from the Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA), and she received the Innovation award from the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers.
